finding the lord...versus finding yourself
by Aussie Oz ini have noted many who are ex jw but now are 'born again' or have found the 'lord' telling how wonderful life is now.... i mean no disrespect to those who claim this, and are happy, i can understand i guess, leaving the wt but still wanting to serve 'god' but i just can't come at it.
we all know the story... life sucked, left the watchtower, found jesus, lifes great again.... what about my life?
some of you already know i am not christian and in fact are more anti god/religion than ever.. i was depressed, couldn't live up to the rules, faded out fast, left wife, lost kids, lost every single friend of 30 years, lost every material thing save the clothes on my back, lonely hermit for two years, adultery, disfellowshipped, crazy girl friend, one night stands... you might say life went down the toilet and i needed saving from myself.. wrong!.

The Master spoke to me this morning. . .
by Inkie inthis morning as i lay lying in bed i was listening to music on the radio station on my headset.
when i do this, i do this so as not to disturb the wife while she is sleeping.
only this morning, she had already risen and was downstairs getting ready to go to work and just about to walk out the door.

I have unusual message dreams myself. JW's are known for their brainwashing, but I also sometimes say that they gutwash you too. Your gut is the source of your intuition and the first target for a mind controller is the intuition. Your intuition is often sometimes stronger than your mind which can be tricked with false logic. It can tell you when something ain't right. How many times do we ignore this. A scorpion is represents an unwanted or lower energy program that is embedded in your gut. Your awareness is becoming greater so your unconscience mind is dealing with the conflict that greater awareness brings. Just be thankful it wasn't anchovies.

I hear ya with the entry level job thing. That is my biggest depresser/shame spiral/rage inducer. I think about all the advantages I could of had if they would of just let me be, not mentioning being supportive. You have to get at the bottom of all this stuff and it's not easy. I don't believe you have to carry this shit around for the rest of your life. Be sincere in your intent to heal and things start happening. One thing I was doing and still do to a degree is that I feel somewhat isolated and superior. Like I'm special still. Like I have the "truth" even if it's just my truth. It stopped me from progressing, going to therapists, and the like. Realizing you are just a human like every on else is very liberating. You can connect with those we were taught to shun and look down on. You can even begin to understand those who wounded you.
Choosing your son over some f*cked up machine, soul sucking, life killing mirage means you chose love and it opened your eyes. What's the bumper sticker say, "The truth will set you free but first it will piss you off"

how do you reconcile that with the idea of free will?
it's like if i said that i know my decisions were mine, but at the same time they weren't.

I'd like to pipe in on the ridiculousness of this stuff but.... When you don't understand what's going on it's easy to make fun of it. It's much more intelligent and "smart" to take a anti-depressant or drink alcohol to deal with the burden of life, isn't it. Or maybe manipulate your loved ones emotionally and psychically. I'm just saying that we don't know what this stuff is doing for these people. Could be very healthy. Could be manipulative and controlling. Who knows. You have to EXPERIENCE what they are experiencing to really know, no?

The greatest love one can have for another is to LET THEM BE THEMSELVES.
Dying is not that hard, it's living with OTHER PEOPLE that can be a bitch.
Christians have a hard time with this, that's why they demonize the OTHER.
